My apologies for the long hiatus. It wasn’t the plan to take the whole summer off from blogging, but that seems to be what happened. However after a break to refresh and then focus on the final changes needed to prepare Discovering Our Story for submission to digital imprints – I am pleased to say that this submission phase has come to an end. Now I cross my fingers and wait.
In the middle of it all, I admit to fighting some heavy bouts of self-doubt and writers’ fatigue. I read and listened to many books during my hiatus. Some made me doubt myself even more and others made me wonder – if this can get published, why can’t mine?
I am ready to give Karissa and Matthew (from Discovering Our Story) a rest while I move along to the series I began writing this past winter. The first in the series – On The Line – features four college friends whose lives have once again merged. I am ready to edit and improve upon Lina and Zane’s story. Lately, I’ve also begun to outline and let the creative juices permeate my thoughts on the second story in the series. Draw The Line will feature my next heroine and hero, Felicity and Michael. Their love story is beginning to unfold.
It is rejuvenating to engage in more of the creative process again. All that said, if I got “the call” I’d gladly jump right back to doing whatever it takes to prepare Discovering Our Story to share with the world.
Thanks for your support and fingers crossed!
Keeping my fingers crossed for you. I’ve read Discovering Our Story, so I know it should be published. I just hope the right person reads it and figures that out! Looking forward to reading the next one!
